Get started

• Create an account, or sign in with Google if the site has it enabled.
• Create a family and add yourself as the first person.
• Add your parents, spouse and children the simplest way: choose a relationship such as Father of, Mother of, or Spouse of and point it at yourself or another member.

Add any relative

The Add a person screen lists relationships for nearly every member of your family: parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren, brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, uncles and aunts, cousins, in-laws and god-relatives. Pick the one that fits, choose the person it relates to, and AncesHistory builds the right connection for you.

Invite your family

On the family dashboard, send an invitation to the people who should help. They receive an email link that lets them join your tree.

Keep memories

Open a person's profile to add photos, dates and a biography. Use the Messages area to write to invited members, and review any suggestions the tree makes before you accept them.
